I so hope this is true.

I know that there is a lot of crazy speculation going on in science, especially if you’re following headlines on news sites; but, if these scientist are right – then this is crazy news. Almost as crazy as the Higgs having a motive to protect itself from being discovered.

Netbooks

I’ve been hacking around with my Asus EEE 900A Pc ever since the last time that I posted here. Since then I’ve installed Ubuntu 9.08 (? I forget the version number, yes I’m too lazy to check right now. I know that typing this sentence took more effort…) and I’ve managed to get it running in a ‘normal’ desktop mode instead of using it’s netbook remix theme. I’ve also toyed around with firefox and managed to get it to use the limited display space a little bit better.

Over all, I have to say that this little machine is a good unit for basic work (duh.) As for browsing the Internet, the main task for which these types of machines are advertised, I have to admit that it is a little bit slow for my taste. I often find myself sitting here staring at a grayed out browser window waiting for the tiny machine to render pages.

Sigh…
